Appearing before Judge Skip Mooney from Jonesboro in District Court in the Eastern District of Clay County on Sept. 28, 2023, were Rhonda Michelle Parks, 42, of Piggott, and Anita Joyce Parks, 69, of Piggott.
Corning songwriter published on major label debut
Singer-songwriter Ricky Montgomery made his major label debut with Rick, Friday, Sept. 29 via Warner Records. The album will feature “Ethan’s Song”, a track written by Ethan Williams, of Corning, with Montgomery.
Charles Wesley Grimes
Charles Wesley Grimes, 94, of Rector, passed away on September 27, 2023, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born in Guy, Ark., to the late Vernon and Floy (Montgomery) Grimes.
Terry Lee Bracken
Terry Lee Bracken, 59 passed away at his home on September 16, 2023. Terry was born on October 8, 1963, to proud parents Billy and Betty (Householder) Bracken in Paragould, Arkansas.

Piggott Fun Fly set this weekend
Piggott Radio Control Modelers will host a Fun Fly on Oct. 6 and 7 at Pfeiffer Field, located one-mile east of the public swimming pool in Piggott.
