UAW retirees to meet in Paragould United Auto Workers retirees will meet at 11: 30 a. m.
The 2A North 8-Man Champion Rector Cougars started their final regular season game against Midland Mustangs with two crazy penalties for big yardage against them. The Cougars were not deterred, however, going forward with the game plan that showcased Kaden Avery, Carter Hill, and Drew Henderson as offensive giants and line play as stalwart.
The Kinsmen Quartet will be in concert at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov.
RES kindergarten students in Brooke Clayton’s class recently adopted a calf from the College of the Ozarks. Arlene, a Holstein heifer, was born on Sept. 3, 2023, and was 65 pounds and 28 inches at birth.The students will get to watch Arlene grow throughout the year, and will learn about the process of making milk. Piggott High School FCCLA is sponsoring the 2023 Powderpuff Game at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3 at Hunter Midkiff Memorial Stadium. Admission is $3 with children five and under admitted free. Everyone is invited to come watch, enjoy and cheer on the freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors play.
The Junior High Rector Cougar football team finished their regular season Friday, Oct. 14, in a contest at Midland against the Mustangs and came away with their third victory of the 2023 season, finishing with a 3 – 3 record. By the score of 40 – 6, the junior Cougars showed their running strength behind the threeback set with Austin Avery, Lawson Green, and Waylon Haynes providing the offensive punch.
