The Clay County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting of an individual north of Corning in the area of Hwy. 328, County Road 143 and 148. The Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call at 7:25 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, from a motorist that an individual was standing in the middle of Hwy. 328 at the bridge construction. They said the individual stated he had been shot. The Sheriff’s Department, Corning Police Department, and EMS responded.
