Rector Gifted and Talented Program accepting student referrals

The Rector School District Gifted and Talented Program is asking for student referrals for students in the second through 11th grades. Referral forms may be picked up and returned to the elemen-tary, high school or superintendent’s office. Referred students should display high intellectual ability, task commitment and/or motivation and creative ability. Those who have questions or would like more information may contact Lance Mabrey, Rector GT Coordinator, by email at lmabrey@rector.k12.ar.us or by calling Rector Schools at 595-3151.

A VISIT WITH THE EASTER BUNNY

The Rector Public Library has been hopping with lots of visitors excited to see the Easter bunny. On Tuesday, March 26, the Marmaduke Preschool was in attendance with each child receiving and Easter egg filled with a surprise.They also listened to Ms.Monica read‘How to Catch the Easter Bunny’ by Adam Wallace. Karrin Henderson had the honors of volunteering to wear the Easter bunny costume. Other volunteers included Emma Holmes and MaKenna Lane who read stories to the children as they waited to have their picture taken with the Easter bunny.Pictured above is Asher Walker, the four-year-old son of Caine Walker and Jasmine Thomas. On Wednesday, March 27, the Rector Preschool visited the library with over 60 kids and adults present. Each child received a surprised filled egg and had their picture taken with the Easter bunny.Volunteering to wear the Easter bunny costume was McKenna Lane. Faulkner has long love of sports

Involved in many aspects of youth sports development programs to include coaching and umpiring, refereeing, and cheering the efforts of young people, Kenny Faulkner is the epitome of being there when and where he is needed. He loves sports and knows instinctually the lessons young people learn from involvement in such programs.
