Arkansas House of Representatives members will square off against their Senate counterparts for a worthwhile cause, “Hoops for Kids’ Sake,” benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas (BBBSCA) and the Children’s Advocacy Centers (CAC) of Arkansas. The ninth modern-era charity basketball game will occur Monday, April 22 at 6 p.m. at the Eddie L. Boone & Oliver Fitzpatrick, Jr. Fieldhouse at Little Rock Central High School.
Piggott Heritage Car Show is preparing for the 25th annual event set for May 17 through 19. Entrants from several states participate every year as this is a highly anticipated event for classic and custom car lovers.

Volunteers are needed to participate in this year’s Great Arkansas Cleanup from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at Lake Charles State Park located at 3705 Highway 25, Powhatan, Ark. Each year the Great Arkansas Cleanup welcomes participants to join park staff in keeping the Natural State as beautiful as possible. The event is free and open to the public.
