Public meeting scheduled for proposed replacement of Route 62 bridge over St. Francis River

SIKESTON— The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), in coordination with the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT), will hold a public meeting on Thursday, May 30 from 4-6 p.m. to discuss the proposed replacement of the Route 62 bridge over the St. Francis River. The bridge is located at the state line from Dunklin County, Missouri to Clay County, Arkansas.

In observance of the Memorial Day holiday, all federal, state, county and local offices will be closed on Monday, May 27. The closures include both Clay County courthouses, the three county libraries, all local city halls along with state and federal government offices.

Woolery recognized at Three Rivers College

Rebecca Woolery of Piggott was among more than 30 highest performing students recognized at Three Rivers College Annual Student Excellence Awards ceremony held Friday, May 10 at the Tinnin Fine Arts Center. Winners were chosen to represent each academic department and career education program, the Three Rivers external locations, honor societies, and major student organizations.
