The children of Homer and Dora Causey will be hosting a family reunion beginning at 12 noon on Saturday, June 29, at the Pollard Picnic ground. All family and friends are invited to attend. Organizers note a potluck meal will be served.
Once again, a full schedule of pageants from birth to 21 and up will accompany the Piggott 4th of July picnic. The first four pageants will be held the evening of July 3, with the remainder being held on July 4. All pageants will be held on the stage at the picnic grounds.

The summer 2024 Hemingway-Pfeiffer Writers’ Retreat for adults is scheduled June 17-21. Registration is $325. Lunch and breaks are included. Retreats are held in the Educational Center and Hemingway Barn-Studio and offer adults the opportunity to work on personal creative writing under the direction of a professional mentor.
The annual Mary’s Chapel Cemetery meeting will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, in the conference room of the Rector Community Center. Anyone with ties to the cemetery is urged to attend and help support the cemetery.
