Songwriters round table planned at Ford Room in Rector

A unique offering for music lovers will headline at 7 p.m., on Thursday, Aug. 15, at the Ford Room inside the Rector Community Museum, will enlighten the message a story is behind every song. Storytelling is the heart of song writing, many believe, as they listen to lyrics of recent songs by the iconic Taylor Swift, explore the background of an era into which Loretta Lynn tested some of her feminist lyrics. Follow the life story and one moment in time for Dolly Parton as she wrote “Jolene.” Writing a story, telling a life experience, penning a poem, any of these moments can find their way into a song. TRIPPP has explained to Ford Room audiences how the group writes some of their original music.
