Congressman Crawford seeking community’s assistance in resolving mail delivery issue
(Jonesboro, AR) Residents across the First Congressional District rely on the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) to deliver essential items such as utility bill payments, life-saving medications, mortgage payments, birthday cards, and more. However, the USPS mail service has steadily deteriorated to the point where Representative Rick Crawford is seeking the community’s assistance in resolving the issue.
Crawford announces 2024 Congressional App Challenge for students
Representative Rick Crawford is calling on ninth through 12th grade students living in the First Congressional District to showcase their creativity and STEM skills in the 2024 Congressional App Challenge. Crawford believes that fostering innovation and engagement in computer science and STEM education is crucial for future workforce and the economic growth.


Local golf teams compete in District Tournament
Piggott and Rector Golf teams recently competed in the District Tournament held at the Turkey Mountain Golf Course in Horseshoe Bend. Piggott student Mollie Coomer finished as District Tournament Overall Runner Up.
BRTC instructors selected for Paragould Leadership
Black River Technical College’s (BRTC) Travis Harris, math instructor, and Shane Copeland, director of student career readiness, have been selected as members of Leadership Paragould Class 28. Harris and Copeland will attend 12 sessions over a 12month period.
