Clay County 4-H YLC tour State Capitol, participate in ExCELL challenge

On October 21, the Clay County 4-H Youth Leadership Citizenship Team participants from Piggott, Rector and Corning High Schools toured the State Capitol in Little Rock joined by Arkansas State Representative Jeremy Wooldridge. Then, at the 4-H Center in Ferndale, they attended a Real Colors personality session to understand themselves and others with Carrie Stark while discussing their service-learning project with Clay County Extension Agent Christin Holmes.

Betty Carolyn Shelton

Betty Carolyn Shelton, a beacon of love and selflessness, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born on July 20, 1941, in Leonard, Arkansas, she was a cherished daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

HPMEC to host photo exhibit

The Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center will be hosting the photographic exhibit entitled The Veneto of Ernest Hemingway: Across the River into the Trees series seven. The exhibit is comprised of a series of beautiful black and white panels.
