
Holiday Tour of Homes planned
The traditional Holiday Tour of Homes, sponsored by the Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8 beginning at the educational center with refreshments.

Plans are underway, as the Piggott Area Chamber of Commerce is scheduled to host their annual Christmas Fest on Saturday, Dec. 7.
The Clay County Quorum Court met in regular session on Monday, Nov. 18 at the courthouse in Piggott with justices Dennis Haines, Patrick Patterson, David Hatcher, Neal Smith, Jody Henderson, David Cagle and Randy Kingston in attendance.

To open the Rector Veterans Day program at the Rector Community Museum’s Ford Room, Mayor Shawn Brandon offered the welcome followed by Representative Jeremy Wooldridge who gave the devotional and inspirational statements in honor of all veterans. The audience participated in the Pledge of Allegiance and sang along with a video presentation of God Bless America.
