Holiday Tour of Homes planned
The traditional Holiday Tour of Homes, sponsored by the Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8 beginning at the educational center with refreshments.

On Monday, Nov. 19, Mayor Bradley Scheffler received notification from Michael Rau with the Arkansas Division of Higher Education that the City of Piggott had been selected for the State of Arkansas Volunteer Community of the Year, Youth Engagement Award for 2024.

Program held at RCM
To open the Rector Veterans Day program at the Rector Community Museum’s Ford Room, Mayor Shawn Brandon offered the welcome followed by Representative Jeremy Wooldridge who gave the devotional and inspirational statements in honor of all veterans. The audience participated in the Pledge of Allegiance and sang along with a video presentation of God Bless America.
