The traditional Holiday Tour of Homes, sponsored by the Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8 beginning at the educational center with refreshments.

The Clay County Hazard Mitigation plan a kickoff meeting from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5 at the Clay County Electric Coop located at 3111 US 67 in Corning. The meeting will help those in attendance learn about the Clay County Hazard Mitigation Plan and the process they will undertake to update the plan. Those attending will be able to provide feedback on possible hazards, project to mitigate hazards and community

Johnny Mack Golden, 81, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away November 18, 2024, at his home in Piggott.
The Piggott Public Library is currently offering gift wrapping services for the holiday season. The âelvesâ at the library will be wrapping gifts through noon Friday, Dec. 20. Event organizers noted most gifts will be wrapped, and ready for pickup, within 24 hours. And, there is no chargeâas the elves are working for donations. The Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center will be hosting the photographic exhibit entitled The Veneto of Ernest Hemingway: Across the River into the Trees series seven. The exhibit is com-prised of a series of beautiful black and white panels. The exhibit will be on display through December on the second floor of the museum.
