In celebration of National Quilting Day set for Saturday, March 15, the Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center will present a special month-long quilt exhibition. LITTLE ROCK — Whether they’re helping adults create resumes, safe passwords or avoid phishing scams, Arkansas 4-H Tech Changemakers are using their technology skills to make a difference in their communities.
The Clay County Extension Service is offering its annual pesticide applicator training from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at the Extension office located at 148 East Main in Piggott. The training is required for agriculture producers to qualify for license to purchase restricted pesticides. The class costs $20 and those interested must be present for the entire training session to be certified for a license for the Arkansas State Plant Board. The course can also be completed online at https://courses.uada.edu/. Those wanting additional information may contact the Extension office in Piggott at (870) 598-2246.
Each year the Grow for the Green Soybean Yield Challenge recognizes and rewards Arkansas’top soybean producers. This year several Clay County farmers where among those recognized.
