Rector Public Library announces return of Summer Reading Program

The Rector Public Library is gearedup for a busy June and July as the Summer Reading Program returns. This year’s theme is “Color Our World”. The programs are at 9 a.m. Wednesdays during the month of June and will continue through July 23. The 2025 Summer Reading Program is open to children of all ages, with prizes, drawings, stories, reading logs, and more.

Mary’s Chapel Cemetery meeting slated

The annual Mary’s Chapel Cemetery meeting will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, in the conference room of the Rector Community Center. Anyone with ties to the cemetery is urged to attend and help support the cemetery. Anyone interested in making a donation toward the upkeep of the cemetery may do so by contacting Nathan Mills at 870-595-4449, Perry Mills at 870-783-0109 or Scott Turner at 870-324-0440.

Piggott Public Pool set to open May 28

Piggott Parks and Recreation announces that the Piggott Public Pool will open on Wednesday, May 28. Hours are 1 to 5:30 p.m. daily. Gate fee is $4.00 and children under the age of two will be admitted free. Single and group passes are available as well as swim lessons and adult swim. Rector High School named statewide winner in Intuit Hour of Finance Challenge
