Going “back to school” does not mean what it once meant. The phrase does not need to strike terror in the heart of a person who met with trouble, trauma, or other roadblocks while attending conventional public school in quest of a high school diploma. Unless a person has experienced setbacks, trauma, or academic difficulties unaddressed by traditional studies, he/she cannot possibly know the reluctance a person feels when confronted with “going back to school.”
