Norma Jean Haywood

Norma Jean Haywood, 98, of Pollard, Arkansas, passed away September 11, 2025, at Gosnell Health and Rehab in Gosnell, Arkansas.

She was born the youngest of six children on April 24, 1927, in Paulding, Ohio, and was the daughter of Joseph Craig and Stella (Clark) Dunbar.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Doyle “Petie” Bernard Haywood; stepson, Doyle Roger Haywood and his wife Doris; two brothers; and three sisters.

Norma is survived by her son, Stanley Kevin Haywood and wife Linda of Blytheville, Arkansas; daughter, Jeri Sue Haske and husband Kenny of Eagle River, Alaska; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Norma loved to travel and cooking was a large part of her life. She loved people and her church family.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with Matthew Collier officiating. Burial was in Williams Cemetery in Piggott. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements. Visitation was held Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time.
