Steven Tate

Steven Tate, 57, of Piggott, Arkansas, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday September 15, 2025.

He was born on December 3, 1967, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Linuel Ray and Mary Kathern (Rickman) Tate.

Steven was united in marriage to Robin Hardin on April 2, 2005.

Steven was a proud graduate of Piggott High School. He attended Arkansas State University; during that time he was drawn to serve his country through the ROTC program which led him to join the USAF. After active service he continued serving by joining the Air National Guard in St. Louis, Missouri, and retiring at the rank of Technical Sergeant. He continued to serve his community as Commander of the local VFW Post 4517.

He was deeply devoted to his family, was a member of First General Baptist Church in Piggott, and worked for the Piggott Water Dept.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 22, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott with Bro. Mark Book officiating and Bro. Enoch Richardson assisting. Burial was in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott. Pallbearers were Zach Baker, Dave Finley, Garrett Cook, Kyson Conley, Phillip Wagster, and Tommy Hancock. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
