Ginger Suzanne Young, 65 of Rector passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 21, 2022. She was born in Dearborn, Mich., to the late O.J. Barker and Barbara Boyd Barker.

Ginger loved spending time with her family, reading and watching Judge Judy. She has spent many years working as a caretaker.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents: O.J. and Hetti Barker and Oliver and Cynthia Treves, and her sister: Susie Liles Burchett.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Farren Dale Young. They had four children born to them: Marki Young, Tarah (Kendall) Green, Maeghan Young, and Farren (Samantha) Young II. She leaves behind 11 grandchildren: Kirk Young-Horton, Natalie Suzanne Varner, Jacob McMillin, Bryor Baugh, Trey Green, Chloe Baugh, Carter McMillin, Drake Green, Ginger Grace Green, Dexter Young, and Lincoln Young, one great grandson: Jonah Hopper, one sister: Heidi Holler of Florida, and many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector. The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2022, in the chapel with Ernie Rinks officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Heights Cemetery.
