Willie Dale Arnold

Paul Bishop, 85 of Rector, Ark., passed away at his residence on June 23, 2022. He loved his family and spending time outside working in his yard and garden. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where he enjoyed singing hymns.

He was a huge fan of both the St. Louis Cardinals and the Marmaduke Greyhounds, often traveling to their away games and tournaments. He was especially proud of the Greyhound teams of 1977 and the 1978 State Champions.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Revie and Mayme (Orrell) Bishop of Marmaduke, his brother and sister-in-law, Verlon R and Peggy Bishop, and four sisters: Rosemary, Virginia Lee, Faye Bishop Chadwick, and Hortense (Bishop) Allison and husband J.P.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rosetta (Hess) Bishop, his two daughters, Pauletta (Bishop) Littleton and Loretta Bishop Hawley, two sons-in-law: Randy Littleton and Kevin Hawley, brother-in-law: Mike Chadwick, along with special nieces, nephews and friends. He is survived by six grandchildren: Paul Matthew Bishop, Meagan Hawley Pickney and Jared; Logan Hawley and Tori; Morgan Hawley and Madelyn; Nathan Littleton, Samuel Littleton and Bailey, and eight great-grandchildren: Nora Pickney, Wyatt Pickney, Moses Pickney, Revy Hawley, Emersyn Hawley, Barrett Hawley, Skylar Alred and Rylee Bishop.

Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday June 25, 2022, at the Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector with Bro. Kim Bridges and Bro. Josh Vangilder officiating. Burial was held at Cudd Cemetery in Marmaduke.
