Elizabeth Diann White

Elizabeth Diann White, 61 of Rector, passed away on August 20, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. Diann was born in Kennett, Mo., to the late James Edward and Francis (Mitchell) Burdin. Diann started at a young age as a beautician. She started out cutting hair over 30 years ago in a shed on her parent’s property and ended up owning her own business in Rector. She attended to many people at her shop “Rector Barber & Style.” Anyone that knew Diann knew how devoted she was to Russell and her children and grandchildren. She would do anything for anyone that needed it. She had a strong Christian faith and her motto was always “Kill them with kindness” and she tried her best to live by that. She loved being outdoors and taking care of her animals. Diann and Russell spent a lot of time driving and seeing the sights and looking for all the flea markets and bargain shopping. Diann always enjoyed life but since losing Russell and having cancer she realized how good it was. Her departing words when she parted with friends was to tell everyone to have a wonderful life!

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her best friend and Elizabeth Diann White husband since June 27, 1986, Russell White and her brothers: Dallas Burdin and Bobby Burdin, and her special dog Daisy Mae.

Diann is survived by her children: Shannon & Corbin Hill of Rector, and Ryan White of Rector; her grandchildren: Victoria Hill, Jackson Hill, Carter Hill, Sophia Hill, Chloe White, Sebastian White, Toby White, Jude White and Archer White; a sister: Deborah & Beryl Gene Brakebill of Damascus, Ark.; her dog, Princess Leia, who stayed constantly by her side along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 25, 2022, at the First Baptist Church in Rector starting at 10 a.m. The services will begin at 11:30 a.m. with Tim Burdin as pastor. Interment will be at the Purcell Cemetery.
