Bobby Hoskins

Bobby Hoskins of Piggott, Ark., was born on July 19, 1936, in Leachville, Ark., to the late Paschal and Lela (Watkins) Hoskins and passed from this life on October, 29, 2022.

After retiring from a thirty-year career with the U.S. Postal Service, Bobby indulged in his passion for classic cars, serving as president of Piggott Heritage Super Cruise Group and Bootheel Antique Car Klub. He served his community as a long-time member of the Lions Club in Piggott. Bobby had many interests throughout his life. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and watching sports on TV, especially his favorite Dallas Cowboys.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; his brother James “Peewee” Hoskins; his beloved son, Randy L. Hoskins; and three infant children.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of sixty-seven years, June Hoskins of Piggott; his daughter, Kim (Clint) Young of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Annette Hoskins of Henderson, Ark.; brothers, Danny (Rose) Hoskins, and

Lonnie “Joe” (Joyce) Hoskins both of Paragould; sisters, Janice (William) Martinez of Downey, Calif., Paulette Parker, and Brenda (Dennis) Matthews both of Paragould; grandchildren, Joshua Hoskins of Frisco, Tex., Courtney Hoskins of Farmington, Ark., Matthew (Trisha) Hoskins of Paragould, Austin Young of San Diego, Calif.; one greatgrandchild, Olivia Hoskins of Farmington; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2022, with Preacher Kevin Murray officiating. Burial immediately followed at Leachville Cemetery.
