Rector Elementary students in Kelsey Bishop’s Geography class have been working on a Global Village project. The students each selected a country and researched their demographics and cultural backgrounds. Students then created a presentation over all their research and prepared a cultural dish from their country for the other students to enjoy. They had so much fun with it, and they were able to try dishes from the Philippines, Mexico, Italy, and South Korea just to name a few. “It was good for them to be exposed to other cultures and sharing food was a good way to do that for kids,” commented Bishop.
