Anthony Herbert Linam, 88, of Colt, Ark., formerly of Rector, Ark., passed from this life on Saturday, May 27, 2023. He was born on September 21, 1934, to the late Hughy and Mary Davisson Linam.

Anthony was of the Christian faith and loved the Lord. He was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church in Rector. After relocating to Colt, due to health issues, he attended Colt Baptist Church.

Anthony was introduced to farming at an early age. After graduating from Rector High School, he began farming full-time. Anthony was known for his love of horses, dogs, Rector Blackcats/Cougars and Razorbacks. Anthony hunted and water skied in his younger years. As time passed, he enjoyed driving the boat, showing horses, and raising quail and pheasants. In his later years he enjoyed the companionship of two dogs, Elsa and Herbert Lightning. While living, they were constantly by his side. Anthony will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Hughey and Mary Linam; brother, CSM (Ret.) A. Ruddell Davisson, sister-in-law, Dortha Davisson, and brother-in-law, Bill Mulhollen.

Anthony is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carolyn Crawford Linam of Wynne, Ark. Anthony is also survived by his daughter, Janet Linam of Colt, Ark.; brothers, Bill and Carolyn Linam of Hot Springs Village, Ark., Mike and Rhonda Linam of Wynne, Ark., sister, Yvonne Mulhollen of North Little Rock, Ark., along with many other special relatives and friends.

Visitation was held at 12 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector with the service beginning at 1 p.m. Interment was at the Woodland Heights Cemetery.
