Sarah Lou Smith, 90, of Rector, passed away on June 5, 2023, at Kennett, Mo. Sarah always had a smile and was full of life. She loved her family and they always knew that, especially the grandchildren. Sarah was always active. She and her husband Dale were members of the Square-Dancing Club in their younger years and always enjoyed the fun times there. She was a quilter and enjoyed gardening and sharing that with her family. Sarah belonged to the First United Methodist Church where she was an active member for many years.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Estell (Dean) Keller and her husband Dale Smith.

She is survived by her children: Rickie and Susan Smith of Rector and Reginia and Greg Green of Kennett; grandchildren: Tammy Rainwater, Tosha Nicole Green, Alana Barker, Shana Green, Summer Wolfenbarger and Jake Smith; great-grandchildren: Hannah Rainwater, Madison Wolfenbarger, Corbin Barker, Raegen Green and Claire Barker along with a host of family and friends.

Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at the Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector. Services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 8, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church in Rector. Interment followed at the Woodland Heights Cemetery.
