Ella Mae Turner

On Saturday, August, 12, 2023, Ella Mae Turner passed away peacefully in her sleep. The daughter of Benjamin H. Turner and Ada Turner nee English, she was born on May 17, 1949 at home in Nimmons, Ark.

Ella was preceded in death by her only son Doyne Hank Turner.

She is survived by her brother John H. Turner; her grandchildren: J.A. “Melody” Turner of Colorado, D.K. “Scarlet” Richardson and wife Sophie Richardson nee Mason of Georgia, Benjamin Turner of Ohio, Samantha Elizabeth Turner and her son William Henry “Hank” Richardson of Florida; her former daughterin- law Kelley Richardson nee Sagers and husband Jason Richardson.

She loved to read and spend time with kin, who was everyone. She volunteered for her local food bank and the Nimmons Cemetery, even until just before her passing.

Her kindness touched everyone who met her. She just tried to matter.
