Joey J.R. Lamb

Joey J.R. Lamb, 83, of Rector, passed from this life on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at the Piggott Community Hospital. He was born on November 24, 1940, in the Blue Cane Community to the late Clyde Morrow and Olar Marie McDaniel Lamb. Joey was a mechanic and was of the Baptist faith. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, gardening and fishing. Joey will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother Gerald Lamb.

Joey is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Betty Ann Boyd Lamb of Rector; his children: Joe Wayne (Kim) Lamb of Conway and Jerry Don (Lisa) Lamb of Jackson, Tenn.; grandchildren: Justin Lamb, Joshua Lamb, Joe Wayne Lamb Jr., Jarred Lamb, and Jennifer Lamb Huie; greatgrandchildren: Emma Lamb, Henry Knox Lamb, Liam Huie, Leia Huie, Paige Nichols, Kelton Nichols, Jordyn Lamb, Karter Lamb, Payton Lamb, Steven Hull, Hannah McKee, Haley McKee, and Randel Green; one sister: Joyce (Don) Huckabay; along with a host of other special relatives and friends.

Visitation was held from 1 to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday November 29, 2023, at the Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home. Funeral services followed at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Mark Trout officiating. Burial was at Woodland Heights Cemetery.
