Ann (Highfill) Greenway, 82, of Paragould, Ark., passed away on December 16, 2023. She was born to the late Everett and Audie (Walker) Highfill in Paragould. Ann was known by many in Rector for her skills as a waitress. She worked at the M & M Restaurant, then later at the Town Park Motel and also at the Café. She always met her customers with a smile. After retirement she enjoyed taking life easy and enjoying her flowers and the hummingbirds.

She was preceded in death by her parents Everett and Audie Highfill; a son, Jeffrey Brown and her siblings, James Highfill, Mary Jo Sterling, Harry Highfill, Barbara O’Dell, Joyce Burr, Sharon Grubbs and Danny Highfill.

She is survived by her children: David Brown of Brookland, Shanda (Russell) Fox of Allegan, Mich., and Donnie (Peggy) Greenway of Corning, along with 14 grandchildren, 21 greatgrandchildren and two greatgreat grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held at 6 p.m. with sharing of memories at 7 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2023, at the Irby -Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector.

Family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Leukemia or Breast Cancer Society.
