Linda Sue Featherston

Linda Sue Featherston, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024, at the age of 85. She was born on October 20, 1939, in Piggott, Arkansas, to the late John Thomas and Gladys “Moseley” Mobley.

Sue was preceded in death by her siblings: Betty Ruth Johnson, Johnie Ray Mobley, Thomas Edwin Mobley, and Robert Harris Mobley, as well as her devoted husband, Donald Ray Featherston.

She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Hartman, and grandchildren Rachel and Alec Hartman, all of St. Louis, Missouri. Sue is also survived by many cherished members of the Mobley and Featherston families, whom she loved dearly.

Sue and her husband, Don, were devoted members of the Piggott First General Baptist Church, where they were active participants in church life. Together, they built a legacy of faith, love, and commitment to their community.

Sue worked as a banker in the town of Piggott for many years, where she was known for her strong work ethic and her caring nature toward others. She will be remembered for her skills as a seamstress and baker, providing for those she loved. Outside of her professional life, Sue and Don shared a passion for the St. Louis Cardinals.

A memorial service to celebrate Sue’s life was held at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home, 142 N. 3rd Ave, Piggott,Arkansas, on December 20, 2024, at 11 a.m. Following the service, Sue was laid to rest alongside her husband at the Piggott Cemetery.

Sue will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, was in charge of the arrangements.
