Alvin Leroy Mills, 87, of Rector, passed away on March 12, 2023, at the Piggott Community Hospital. Leroy was born to the late Alvin and Rosie (Adams) Mills in Rector. He served as a dispatcher for the Rector Police Department for many years.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife: Lucille Mills, a daughter: Teresa Mills, a brother: Melvin Mills and a sister: Glenda Fay Mills.

He is survived by his sons: Robert Leroy Mills and wife, Sheree, of Baldwin City, Kan., and Brian Keith Mills and wife, Kristine, of Haslet, Tex.; grandchildren: Mary Mills, Courtni Wedeman and Brittni Gleason; great-grandchildren: Raelyn Wedeman, Brooklyn Wedeman, Blaire Gleason and Griffin Gleason; brothers: Kenneth Mills of Piggott and Ricky Mills of Marmaduke; and sisters: Debra Conway and Diann Walker of Rector, along with a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m.Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at the Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector with the service beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will be at the Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
