Junior Cougars victorious over Red Devils

Rector’s Junior Cougar football team enjoyed a spirited victory over the Augusta Red Devils on Friday, Oct. 13, in front of a crowd anxious for another junior win. The second half started with Augusta sending the kick-off down the field to Lawson Green who gathered it in and took off toward the end zone and Waylon Haynes converted for bonus 2 points, bringing the lopsided score for the Cougars to 40 – 0 against the Red Devils. If that was not enough, the Red Devils arched a lob into double coverage and Rector’s Lincoln Willingham ran away for another touchdown with the game clock running. During the final series, Coach Robert Dorman called for a kneedown to end the game, Rector taking the victory 46 – 0.
