Cat fight dominated by Rector Cougars

Billed as a repeat cat-fight between two Cougar teams separated by geography, the re-match of the 2022 State Finals at War Memorial Stadium, broadcast on Arkansas Sports Network in their first 8-man football telecast, became a Rector Cougar feast. The Rector Cougars devoured yardage on the ground and scored on long drives and breakaway sprints. The RHS Cougar defense smothered the opponent and kept the ICC Cougars bottled up, forcing their quarterback Buchanan to throw long passes most of which missed the receiver entirely, but many broken up by Rector’s Kaden Avery who was breathing down their receivers’ necks all night.
