Piggott Area Chamber of Commerce recently announced the second annual Pig-gott Smoked BBQ Cook-Off set for Saturday, Oct. 21. Teams are slated to compete for cash and trophies—not to mention bragging rights. The day will also include live music, a cornhole tournament, bouncy houses for the kids, vendors and prizes as the sweet smell of barbecue will fill the air. Everyone is invited to attend.
TheArkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC) at Arkansas State University will host a series of workshops and consulting sessions this fall that can benefit small businesses in their marketing endeavors.
Black River Technical College (BRTC) traditional registered nursing (TRN) students recently created study guides on white T-shirts to help them study for an upcoming test. Nursing Instructor Kelsie Cagle assigned the activity to the TRN students as a way to drive home the assessment techniques that students will need to get used to doing on their patients.

Terry Lee Bracken, 59 passed away at his home on September 16, 2023. Terry was born on October 8, 1963, to proud parents Billy and Betty (Householder) Bracken in Paragould, Arkansas.
