The Rector Cougars suited up against the Marshall Bobcats on Friday, Sept. 12, bringing with them a resolve to notch a win into the record book. The momentum started for Rector when the team looked at a fourth down and Marshall was flagged, bringing Rector to 2nd and goal. Kason Jetton could not quite hold on to a pretty pass from Chance Lopez. It was Lopez facing a 3rd down, prepared to run behind Colt Reddick. Another flag for holding was levied against Rector but Rector moved the ball. The down and distance was 3rd and goal from the 13 yard line and all of a sudden, Rector went ahead 8 to 6.
