RHSSHOF inducts new members for 2025

After a quick shower and change of wardrobe, after sprinting along Rector’s streets in the Rector Helping Hands 5K, a large group of Rector Sports supporters gathered at the Rector gym for a lunch catered by Dawn’s Diner and recognition of newly inducted Rector Sports Hall of Fame members at the 17th Annual Awards event.

Two deceased found in Knobel residence

The Clay County Sheriff’s Department reports that on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at approximately 7:51 p.m. the department was contacted about a welfare check at a residence on 5th Street in Knobel. The caller advised they had not been able to make contact with the individuals for several days. At approximately 8:20 p.m. a deputy arrived at the residence but was unable to get anyone to answer the door. The deputy then made a forced entry into the residence where he found Tina Keas, 45, and Dewey Ramsey, 69, deceased. The sheriff’s department and the corner do not suspect foul play at this time. Both individuals have been sent to the State Crime Lab to determine a cause of death. The investigation is ongoing but anyone who might have information into this matter are asked to contact the Clay County Sheriff’s Department at 870-5982270.
