Basic babysitting course to be held in Piggott
Christin Holmes, Clay County Extension FCS Agent, will host a babysitting basics course for students
Rector Gifted and Talented program accepting referrals
The Rector School District Gifted and Talented Program is asking for student referrals for students in the second through 11th grades. Referral forms may be picked up and returned to the elementary, high school or superintendent’s office. Referred students should display high intellectual ability, task commitment and/or motivation and creative ability. City of Piggott to host cornhole tournament
The City of Piggott will be hosting a cornhole tournament at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26. at the Piggott Community Center. Those interested may call 870-598-2003 or email acrittenden@cityofpiggott.org. Sign-up fee is $45 per team with a 60/40 payout. A food truck will also be available during the event.
Run With Heart 5K memorial race Saturday at Heritage Park
Run With Heart 5K honoring Debbie Baxter will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 5 at Heritage Park. Baxter died suddenly on Jan, 29 from a side-by-side accident at the age of 56. Proceeds from the event will go to the American Heart Association and St. Jude’s. You may visit the Facebook page at Run With Heart 5K for more information. Piggott plans city wide clean up
The City of Piggott will host a City Wide Clean Up from Monday, April 7 through Friday, April 11. All items must be placed by the road by 8 a.m. on Monday, April 7. The City will collect trash only once per street.

Rector City Wide Yard Sale scheduled for April 12
Rector City Wide Yard Sale is scheduled for Saturday, April 12. As a reminder, organizers ask anyone who makes use of the park facilities during the event to please make sure all their items are removed from the park at the end of the yard sale.
Rector Chamber banquet set
The annual Rector Area Chamber of Commerce banquet, Rector….Always Home, is scheduled for Thursday, April 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the Rector Community Center.
