Parents, coaches and PHS athletes of fall sports gathered in the high school cafeteria on Sunday, March 16 for the Fall Sports Awards Banquet which included Golf, Volleyball and Football. Coach Clinton Haley welcomed everyone and turned the microphone over to golf coach Alan Rabjohn.
The City of Piggott will be hosting a cornhole tournament at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26. at the Piggott Community Center. Those interested may call 870-5982003 or email acrittenden@cityofpiggott.org. Sign-up fee is $45 per team with a 60/40 payout. A food truck will also be available during the event.

Piggott is gearing up for its annual city wide yard sale set for Saturday, April 5. The Piggott Area Chamber of Commerce reminds local residents sales held that day will not be required to purchase a permit from the city. Locations will also be featured on a list, which will be available from the Chamber of Commerce. Those wanting to be added to the list or for additional information may call the chamber office in the depot building at 870-598-3167 or email at chamberpg@yahoo.com. The last day for listings is Tuesday April 1. The 50th annual Piggott FFAAuction will also be held on Saturday at the Clay County Fairgrounds.

The Rector Cougar 4-H members proudly showcased their talent and dedication at the Buffalo Island Central Show on Wednesday, March 19, earning top honors across several divisions. Their hard work paid off as they displayed exceptional skill and poise in both the commercial heifer and goat competitions.
The Clay County Quorum Court met in regular session on Monday, March 17 at the courthouse in Piggott with Justices Dennis Haines, Patrick Patterson, David Hatcher, Jody Henderson and David Cagle present. Justices George Lowe, Randy Kingston and Brad Green were absent.
Powhatan Historic State Park will host spring break activities Thursday, March 27 and Friday, March 28 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
