On Friday, Jan. 31, the 2025 Mohawk Basketball Homecoming Royalty was introduced prior to the contest with the Marmaduke Greyhounds. Afterward the Tribe had an exciting game against the Greyhounds which unfortunately ended in a loss for the Mohawks.
Piggott High School student Gracie Roberts received the Student’s Choice award at the recent Hemingway-Pfeiffer XXIII Student Art Exhibition.
The Junior and Senior High Lady Cougars took down both teams of Bay Lady Yellowjackets on Thursday, Jan. 23 at the Rector gym. Both teams put distance between the Lady Cougars and Lady Jackets during the initial quarters of play. The Lady Jackets mounted a surge and went on a couple of scoring runs late but the Lady Cougars prevailed in both games.
