The Mohawks Homecoming game last Friday was against one of the best teams in the conference, the Walnut Ridge Bobcats. And they were as advertised VERY good! The Mohawks played a good first quarter and only trailed 14-0 going into the second quarter.

A homemade pie crust class, sponsored by Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Education Center, will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27 at the Piggott Community Center. The City of Rector is repairing the brickwork supporting the Welcome to Rector sign that was damaged several weeks ago by an unknown driver and automobile. The sign is located east of Rector on Hwy. 49.
Jim and Patricia Mabrey will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a dropin reception from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23 at their home located at 214 Idlewild Street in Rector. The couple was wed Oct. 20, 1972 at the Rector First General Baptist Church with Rev. Dobie Shelton officiating.
