Mrs. Betty Underwood Cash, 88, of Panama City Beach, Fla., passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024. She was born in Piggott, Ark., on July 6, 1935 to James and Ethel Underwood.

Mrs. Cash was a member of Gulf Beach Baptist Church and loved to tell people about Jesus. Her husband owned gas stations and she helped him run them.

She enjoyed playing tennis and was quite the card player. Mrs. Cash also enjoyed bass fishing with her husband. She was a wonderful southern cook and had a green thumb.

Mrs. Cash is preceded in death by her husband, Billie Cash; her parents; five brothers; and one sister.

She is survived by one son, Tom Cash of Panama City Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Brenda Carson (Terry) of Panama City, Fla., and Peggy Friesen (Alan) of Lincoln, Neb.; one brother, Larry Underwood (Eleanor) of Derby, Kan.; one sister, Jan Lea Mann of Piggott, Ark.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorialization will be by cremation.

Southernland Family Funeral Home of Panama City, Fla., was in charge of the arrangements.
