Brenda D. Harper, 83, of Russellville, died Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Legacy Heights Nursing Home in Russellville. She was born Dec. 13, 1941, in Gobler, Missouri, to Alvin and Ella Maxine Bomar Krech. A graduate of Piggott High School, Class of 1959, she devoted her life to her family and faith.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mrs. Harper was a homemaker who found her greatest joy in nurturing those around her. She was a woman of strong Christian faith and a longtime member of the 16th Street Church of Christ, where her spirit of service and devotion to God shaped her daily life. She enjoyed crocheting, shopping and cherished her time spent with her best friend, Evie Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Allen Daniel Harper.
Survivors include her children, Scott (Charlotte) Harper and Ken (Christi) Harper, both of Russellville; Lea Harper of Little Rock; Steven (Anita) Harper of Rosenburg, Texas; Sara (Jeff) Singleton of Nashville, Tennessee; and Laura (Kevin) Kallenbach of Warrenton, Missouri; her sister, Wanda (Jack) Cole; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, June 30, at Humphrey Chapel, with Steven Harper officiating. Burial followed at Bowden Cemetery in Russellville under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation was held from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
