Carolyn June Linam

After many years of illness, Carolyn June Linam, 85, passed away on October 11, 2024. She was born on July 3, 1939, in Rector, Arkansas, to the late Clifford and Anna Crawford. She was of the Christian faith and a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. Carolyn’s life was marked by her infectious humor and unwavering faith. She departed this world at River Ridge Rehabilitation and Care Center in Wynne, Arkansas, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

The daughter of Clifford Tommy and Anna Opal Green Crawford, Carolyn grew up in a nurturing household that laid the foundation for her spirited and compassionate nature. Her early years in Rector were filled with the simple pleasures of small-town life, where everyone knew their neighbors and friendships lasted a lifetime. Carolyn’s passing was preceded by that of her beloved husband, Anthony Linam, as well as her parents, Clifford and Anna Crawford, sister Joyce Crawford Livesay, and her in-laws Mary and Hughey Linam. She was also preceded in death by her brothers- in-law Bob Livesay, Sgt. Major A. Rudell Davisson, his wife Dorothy Davisson, and Bill Mulhollen.

A graduate of Rector High School, Carolyn’s education was a testament to her belief in the importance of personal growth and community involvement. She carried this belief throughout her life, enriching the lives of those around her. Carolyn was someone who truly never met a stranger; she approached everyone with an open heart and an eagerness to share a smile or a joke.

Her commitment to her community was evident in her involvement with the youth at Rector First United Methodist Church. Carolyn’s ability to connect with people of all ages made her a beloved figure not just in her church, but throughout the community. In her passing, her laughter, her joy, and her unwavering spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who loved her.

Carolyn leaves behind her daughter, Janet Linam; her sister-in-law Yvonne Mulhollen of North Little Rock, brother-in-law Bill Linam and his wife Carolyn of Hot Springs Village, and brother-in-law Mike Linam and his wife Rhonda of Wynne.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday October 22, 2024, at the Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
