The Ozark Folk Center State Park in Mountain View will host nine music events at the park’s 1,000-seat indoor music venue, Ozark Highlands Theater, during their upcoming season April 2 October 26. Evening concerts, music contests and festivals will feature top talent from the Ozarks and beyond, including award-winning songwriters, bands and dancers.

Hemingway-Pfeiffer Musem to lead Cuba trip
In celebration of its 25th anniversary, the Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center (HPMEC) will lead a trip to Cuba this spring. The trip will begin on Saturday, May 25, and continue through Saturday, June 1.

Rector High School Get Real Financial Management Program held
Rector High School Seniors and the 4-H Youth Leadership Team participated in the “Get Real” program Wednesday, February 7, 2024, provided by Clay County Cooperative Extension FCS Agent Christin Holmes. The program is a hands-on experiential simulation that teaches young people about personal financial management.

1984 This week’s edition of the Times has a feature story about Kenneth and Rita Mowery and the Dixie Donut and Cake Shop, located on the square. The Mowerys cook from 80 to 120 dozen donuts each day and have around 15 varieties.
HPMEC accepting applications for 2024 Writer-In-Residence
The Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center is pleased to announce its 2024 writer-inresidence position. The residency will be for June 1-30, 2024, and includes lodging at a beautiful loft apartment on the downtown square in Piggott over the City Market coffee shop.
