Annual Pollard-Webster family reunion set for Sept. 17
The annual Pollard-Webster family reunion will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Piggott Diner. Lunch will be at 12 noon and the meal is Dutch treat. All family and friends are invited to attend.
McCoy and Collier reunion planned
Plans are underway for a reunion of all descendants and relatives of the late Newton Jasper McCoy and Arthur Collier. The event will take place from 12 noon until 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Rector Community Center. Everyone is asked to bring a dish and enjoy the fellowship. 2022 Rector Labor Day pageant schedule is set
In keeping with event tradition, a full slate of pageants will be held in conjunction with the 2022 edition of the Rector Labor Day Picnic. This year’s pageants are scheduled for both Sunday, Sept. 4, and Monday, Sept. 5, on the beauty revue stand of Memorial Park. And, with the exception of Monday night’s Miss Rector Pageant, the events are open to all.
Sign-ups underway for Rector Labor Day 5K
Runners and walkers are still being recruited for the 2022 Rector Labor Day 5K Run/Walk, set for 8 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3. The event, which benefits the RHS Helping Hands Foundation, will begin in front of the Rector High School gymnasium.
