Annual Nimmons Old Timers Dinner to be held

Organizers of the annual Nimmons Old Timers Dinner are happy to announce the dinner will once again take place. This year’s dinner will be held beginning at noon on Sunday, Sept. 4, at the community center. Current, and former, residents of the Nimmons area are invited to attend, and bring a dish for the potluck meal. They’ll also be accepting donations at the door, with the proceeds going toward the continued upkeep of the Nimmons Cemetery.

FUN AT THE PICNIC

Conditions were extremely hot for the large crowd in attendance at the 95th annual Piggott Fourth of July Picnic. A variety of carnival rides and activities on the midway were enjoyed by kids of all ages Monday.

RIBBON CUTTING IN RECTOR

White and Associates, Crancer Agency and Baldwin Conservation Group held an open house on Tuesday, June 28, to officially welcome customers and friends to the new location at 304 S. Main Street in Rector. The ribbon cutting is a traditional function of the Rector Area Chamber of Commerce.
