Mahan, Miller named to Dean’s List

Three Rivers College has released its Dean’s List for the spring 2025 semester. Locals making the list include Amanda Mahan of Piggott and Samuel Miller of Corning. The honor is awarded to students taking 12 or more credit hours in a semester, who achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or above. Dean’s List honors are also used at graduation to help determine eligibility for honors or highest honors.

Jackson Hill graduates from NWCC

SENATOBIA, MS - Jackson Hill of Rector is one of Northwest Mississippi Community College’s graduates. These graduates were awarded degrees and certificates for the spring 2025 semester by Northwest President Dr. Michael Heindl on May 8 and 9, during the college’s 118th Commencement.

Woolard, Gossett named to UT Martin’s springChancellor’s Honor Roll

MARTIN, Tenn.—The outstanding academic achievements of undergraduate students at the University of Tennessee at Martin have been honored with publication of the Spring 2025 Chancellor’s Honor Rolls for the College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences, College of Business and Global Affairs, College of Education, Health, and Behavioral Sciences, College of Engineering and Natural Sciences and the College of Humanities and Fine Arts. Among those named were Olivia G. Woolard of Piggott, high honors and Riley J. Gossett of Pollard, honors.

New Hope Baptist Church in Pollard announces Vacation Bible School

New Hope Baptist Church in Pollard invites all kids to their VBS which kicked-off on Wednesday, June 4. Those attending will enjoy a night of worship, free food, games, and a fun way to kick-off the summer with vacation bible school. Vacation Bible School will continue each Wednesday night through July 16. Those at-tending will be served a meal at 5:30 p.m. with VBS to follow. This year’s theme is “Magnified!” as those attending will discover the bigness of God in the smallest of things.
