Piggott Public Library offering free gift wrapping

The Piggott Public Library is currently offering gift wrapping services for the holiday season. The “elves” at the library will be wrapping gifts through noon Friday, Dec. 20. Event organizers noted most gifts will be wrapped, and ready for pickup, within 24 hours. And, there is no charge— as the elves are working for donations. Those wanting additional information, and drop-off times, may call the library at 870-598-3666.

Supper With Santa planned

The Piggott Schools Band Programs will host Supper With Santa as partof the 12 Days of Christmas from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14 at the Piggott Elementary School gym. The event will feature the Piggott Jazz Band and is sponsored by the Piggott High School Band Boosters. The evening menu will include a variety of soups, sandwiches, chili, chicken and dumplings, desserts and drinks with to-go plates available. Admission is $10 for adults, $4 for children ages six and up and children under five will be admitted free with a paying adult. Activities will include pictures with Santa, make-n-take ornament and hot chocolate and cookies. Supper With Santa is planned as a communitywide event, and everyone is invited to attend. Proceeds benefit the Piggott Schools Band Programs.
