HPMEC to host reading of “The Night Before Christmas”
Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center will host the reading of âThe Night before Christmasâ in the historic Pfeiffer-Janes home as part of the 12 Days of Christmas. The event is free and will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11 and will also feature wa-tercolor crafts and refreshments in the education center following the reading. Seating is limited for children age four to 10 and preregistration is required. You may contact the museum at 870-598-3487 to reserve a spot. All children must be accompanied by an adult.


Be Pro Be Proud returns to Rector School
The Be Pro Be Proud Mobile Workshop was at Rector High School on Monday, Nov. 4. RHS student ambassadors were Devin Burns, Kristen McCord, Samantha Garcia, Will Hayes, Cutter Robinson, Charlie Bearden and Makenna Lane.

Parrish awarded Clay County Electric scholarship
Haylee Parrish, of Rector, has been awarded the Clay County Electric Cooperative Corporation Member Scholarship. Parrish is a 2024 graduate of Rector High School and is seeking a degree in nursing at BRTC.


Clay County Farm Bureau donates meat sticks to local schools
Clay County Farm Bureau along with theArkansas Farm Bureau and Arkansas Hunters Feeding the Hungry donated 1,000 meat sticks to the Piggott and Rector Schools to be used in their backpack program.
