Once again, a full schedule of pageants from birth to 21 and up will accompany the Piggott 4th of July picnic. The first four pageants will be held the evening of July 3, with the remainder being held on July 4. All pageants will be held on the stage at the picnic grounds.

The children of Homer and Dora Causey will be hosting a family reunion beginning at 12 noon on Saturday, June 29, at the Pollard Picnic ground. All family and friends are invited to attend. Organizers note a potluck meal will be served.

The office of Central Methodist University Provost Rita Gulstad announced recently the students included on the spring 2024 Dean’s List which included Erica Paige Burns and Carlie Brooke Vancil, both of Piggott.

Arkansas Tech University has announced its President’s List and Dean’s List for undergraduate students on its Russellville campus for the spring 2024 semester. Zoe Elizabeth Massey of Marmaduke was named to the President’s List and Austin Dennis Weaver of Lafe was named to the Dean’s List.

The annual Pollard Picnic, to benefit the New Hope Cemetery, will be held Saturday, July 13, in Pollard. As usual, this year’s picnic will include a full schedule of beauty pageants for contestants of all ages.
