Summer Feeding program slated at local schools
Once again this year, both the Piggott and Rector School Districts are taking part in the USDA Summer Feeding program. Under the federallyfunded effort, all those under the age of 18 are provided free meals at local schools. The meals are the same for all children regardless of family income, race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability. No registration is required for those attending.




Woolery recognized at Three Rivers College
Rebecca Woolery of Piggott was among more than 30 highest performing students recognized at Three Rivers College Annual Student Excellence Awards ceremony held Friday, May 10 at the Tinnin Fine Arts Center. Winners were chosen to represent each academic department and career education program, the Three Rivers external locations, honor societies, and major student organizations.
Jackson Hill named to President’s List
Jackson Hill of Rector was selected for Northwest Mississippi Community College’s President’s List for the Spring 2024 semester. Hill was among 760 full-time students who completed the semester with a grade point average of 3.75 to 4.0.

New Hope Baptist Church in Pollard invites parents and children to their Breaker Rock Beach VBS kickoff at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 29.
Noah Smith named to SNHU Dean’s List
Noah Smith of Piggott has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s Winter 2024 Dean’s List. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean’s List.
Revival set at True Light Baptist Church
Revival services will be held May 27 through May 29 at True Light Missionary Baptist Church, located on Highway 141 in McDougal. Services will begin at 6:30 p.m. Bro. Jerrod Lowe will serve as evangelist. Bro. Jason Self, pastor, welcomes everyone to attend.
