Hannah Wilson, hometown Malden, Mo., with previous managerial experience at Harps in Searcy and Bald Knob, took the reins of management at Rector’s Harps grocery store within the last six months. Now that she’s somewhat closer to family, she feels settled in Rector and has learned firsthand of the friendly community. She has already been involved in community and school efforts and plans to do more. She comments, “I was raised by Harps. At age 16, working at Harps was my first job.”
1984 The 67 members of the Piggott High School class of 1984 will receive diplomas in commencement exercises beginning at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, May 13, in the high school gym. Honor grads are Mark Self, Angela Howell, Jeron Smart, Carol Hughes, Christy Kinder, Randy Hinkle, Lorre Gossett, Karen Cook, Amy Wheeler, Lynn Miller and Jon Settlemoir.
The Piggott Public Library will be offering a free Babysitting Basics course through the Clay County Extension Office from 3:30 to 5 p.m. May 14 through 16.
